2010 - Ottawa , Canada
Ottawa,
Canada, December 9, 2010 -- Wiper Shaker Technology Inc. (WST)
is pleased to announce that SHAKER Wiper
De-icer related products. are
now available at your local Kenworth and Peterbilt Trucking and
Equipment Dealers throughout North America(both part of the PACCAR
family of companies).
"The
SHAKER's main market is that of Heavy Trucking, as these vehicles
have no choice when it comes to driving in bad winter weather. To
heavy truck operators, the SHAKER helps not only as safety aspect,
but also a time and cost saving element, i.e., less time spent stopping
at the side of the road to climb up on the hood to flick frozen
wiper blades. We are very excited about this new distribution outlet
for the SHAKER. Strategically, both Kenworth and Peterbilt Dealerships
represent a large number of the heavy trucks on the roads today.
In addition, through our manufacturer, Vehicle Improvement Products
Inc., their experience in working with such dealerships will be
very beneficial." ,
said Mike Kelly, President, WST.

January
2010 - Ottawa , Canada
Ottawa,
Canada, January 25th, 2010 -- Wiper Shaker Technology Inc.
(WST) is pleased to announce that both the Nevada DOT and Colorado
DOT have now joined the ranks of professional plow organizations
that have selected the SHAKER
Wiper De-icer system to assist drivers while they work to keep the
highways clear and safe for motorists.
.
"We
are pleased to have these two government agencies recognize the
value of using the SHAKER
to help make for more efficient plow runs. To date, we now have
most of the applicable United State's, State Highway Departments
using the SHAKER
within their respective highway snow plow fleets. What's of most
relevance to us, is that such organizations are the most experienced
when it comes to dealing with winter visibility issues. Having tried
so many technologies over the years, and then to select the SHAKER
for all of it's benefits, makes for a powerful validation statement
of our technology.", said Mike Kelly, President, WST.
Colorado
Department of Transportation, shop Supervisor, Bill
Pentek said, "The
shakers were installed because of an issue with the ice buildup
on the wiper blades. The snow plow operators historically would
have to stop (sometimes along the side of the roadway) and clean
the ice from the blades or try to catch the blade in motion and
flick it to remove the ice. Either method was not a very safe method
to remove the ice from the blade."

September
2009 - Ottawa , Canada
Ottawa,
Canada, September 10th, 2009 -- Wiper Shaker Technology Inc.
(WST) is pleased to announce that it will make its SHAKER
Wiper De-icer system available for Ford vehicle applications that
utilize a "Flat Blade" (sometimes referred to as a Beam
Blade).
This
new kit, which contains two (2) SHAKER's
and special adapter pieces, carries the Ford part # A9FCS-17528-A
and will be ready for shipment by late fall 2009.
The kit will be available through the Ford Licensed Accessory
database, as are currently other SHAKER
components. This kit is applicable to the following 2009 / 2010
vehicles:
Ford Escape; Taurus; Taurus-X; and Mustang;
Mercury Mariner and Sable;
Lincoln
MKS and MKT
"It
is important to note that while the new flat blades are a marked
improvement over the older articulated blades (still the most widely
sold wiper blade), they are still plagued by trapped frozen debris
problems - which the SHAKER
helps remove.", said Mike Kelly, President, WST.

November
2008 -Ottawa , Canada
Ottawa,
Canada, November 4th, 2008 -- Wiper
Shaker Technology Inc. (WST) is pleased to announce that the “ SHAKER
Wiper De-icer” is officially available from Ford
dealerships in Canada .
This follows the previous announcement in the U.S.
regarding availability of the
SHAKER through Ford dealerships in the
U.S.
"
We are proud to have this affiliation with
Ford Motor Company as the winter weather in Canada
is very well suited for using
the SHAKER. As
a Ford Licensed Accessory,
we are excited about being
able to provide Ford customers with our safety
innovation to help maintain wiper blade performance during inclement
winter conditions."
said Mike Kelly, President of Wiper Shaker Technology
Inc.
Ford
Motor Company of Canada
customers need only reference the Ford part # A8FCS-17526-A
at their local Ford dealership.
The
patented SHAKER simply attaches to a vehicle's
existing wiper arm/blade assembly. Once activated, from inside the
vehicle, the innovative SHAKER induces a momentary
vibration to help rid the wiper blade of trapped frozen debris
that could otherwise cause windshield streaking and thus, impair
a driver's vision. Over 200,000 vehicle accidents occur
each year in North America during snow and sleet visibility
situations, some resulting in fatalities. The SHAKER is
a proven technology that has been used for years by various
U.S. and Canadian Highway Snow Plow departments etc. Professional
drivers know how effective the SHAKER is in the
toughest winter conditions. Now, through Ford dealerships, the general
public can get this technology working for them as well!

"This is an accessory item that could help drivers avoid problems during inclement weather conditions" said Roger Sears, Ford Licensed Accessory Manager, "And it fits within Ford's commitment to augment safe driving capabilities in all our vehicles." Reference the Ford Licensed Accessory Part # A8FCS-17526-A, when visiting your local Ford Dealership..
Mike Kelly of Wiper Shaker Technology Inc. (WST) an innovator in automotive safety devices, said "We've worked for several years with various Ford engineering and marketing personnel as part of the product evaluation process. As such, we are now extremely excited to have our SHAKER ™ technology now available through Ford's U.S. dealer ship network. The SHAKER™ has already received many accolades over the last number of years from professionals in the Heavy Trucking and Government snow plow sectors (now in use at over 20 U.S. DOT's). Now, with our new consumer version of the SHAKER ™, Ford customers will be the first after market end users, to have access to this proven safety technology."
The SHAKER ™ attaches to the existing wiper arm of your vehicle to “ Simply Make Your Blade More Effective ”. August 2007
- As a follow up to a study prepared by the Clear Roads organization in 2006-2007 (this is a US government funded research group that focuses on winter maintenance problems), they recently released survey results that placed the SHAKER at the top of the list for "Overall Satisfaction" and "How well it addressed the problem " (of frozen wipers), compared to the other technologies tested. The survey was conducted based on a study that found 85% of all professional drivers felt frozen wipers were the biggest problem while winter driving.
Mike Kelly, President of WST, stated, "these results further validate the SHAKER as technology that is fast becoming the choice of professional drivers. We are very pleased our technology had the opportunity to compete with more costly and established technologies".

June 2007
- The state of Indiana's Department of Transportation (IN DOT), after successful trails of the SHAKER ™ Wiper De-icer Plus during last winter, has invited Wiper Shaker Technology Inc (WST), to speak at IN DOT's annual Snow and Ice Conference taking place in Indianapolis, IN, September 26, 2007.
Bill Cornett, Snow and Ice Coordinator, Office of Maintenance Administration IN DOT said "I found your product to be a simple yet innovative approach to addressing the issue of snow and ice build up on and under the wiper blade and arm, which is a serious safety concern for the Indiana Dept. of Transportation's plow truck operators.
The Wiper Shaker was installed and tested on twelve of our plow trucks prior to the 2006/2007 winter season as a research project on improving visibility and safety for the plow truck operator. The concept of your product was well received by our plow truck operators and when tested, performed as advertised.
I received very positive feedback on your product from the operators who tested them over the course of this past winter and I have since distributed the ordering information for the Wiper Shaker to our Districts. I am sure you can look forward to additional orders from INDOT for your product prior to winter 2007/2008. Thank you for a great product."
Mike Kelly, President of WST, stated, "this is a great opportunity to meet with a very large and respected winter maintenance operation. Specifically to speak with their over 400 supervisors and regional representatives from around the state, to learn of their visibility challenges during the winter. Of course, it will also provide us with the chance to show the SHAKER in action, to those that might not yet have seen it."

March 2007
- Mike Kelly of Wiper Shaker Technology Inc., was named one of three winners in PROFIT Magazine's 2007 Canadian wide search of the best Video Elevator Pitch for investors. Please visit PROFIT Magazine to view Mike's winning pitch.
"It was quite an honor winning this accolade, which was voted on by the viewing public. This is especially true for me knowing of the various idea pitches that were submitted to the Pitch-4-Profit contest. There is a lot of great innovation going on in Canada, much of it at the grass roots level. As an inventor myself, I have great deal of respect for inventors who are forever challenged by the many hurdles that they must endure. Having one's ideas come to fruition, by actually making it into the market place, is no small achievement.", said Mike Kelly, president of WST.
